Division of Well-being Studies

Three Specialized Fields for Deep Exploration of Life and Environment

The Division of Well-being Studies is composed of three fields: Human Life, Living Environment, and Social Welfare. In modern society, there is a growing need to reframe values and perceptions across various aspects of daily life, including in the home, educational settings, and local communities. This division conducts research based on a comprehensive understanding of human-centered living.

A key feature of our program is that students develop the ability to approach research from a broad perspective, which enables them to integrate diverse viewpoints across life, environment, and welfare fields.

Human Life Field Living Environment Field Social Welfare Field
This field explores human ways of living through topics such as lifelong development, learning, and the relationship between life and education. With an aim towards creating a lifestyle culture that is in harmony with the environment, this field explores concrete issues related to the natural and social environment, as well as components related to daily life, such as clothing, food, housing, and overall living conditions. This field explores human life from a welfare perspective, focusing on areas such as healthcare and welfare, welfare for individuals with disabilities (children, adults, and the elderly), and community welfare.
